Mission / Purpose of the Job
- Lead and drive sales of new and used commercial vehicles, ensuring seamless execution of the sales process from prospecting to delivery.
- Serve as the Commercial Crew team leader, fostering cross functional collaboration with Service Market and Parts Sales in order to deliver high sales performance.
- Manage the end-to-end used truck sales portfolio, including system oversight and process optimization.
- Coordinate with sales executives and cross functional teams to ensure efficient invoicing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Scope and Influence
Scope- Oversee total sales operations and interface with Volvo Group units, suppliers, and stakeholders at domestic, regional, and global levels.
Influence
- Exercise authority in line with Volvo Malaysia and AB Volvo’s financial rules and policies.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Drive day-to-day sales activities for new and used trucks in the Malaysian market, including prospecting, customer management (CM system), sales closure, and delivery.
- Support the VP in managing all truck sales businesses, from securing trade-ins to final sale and delivery – for both new and used trucks.
- Lead the Commercial Crew, coordinating with the sales team and market functions to secure key accounts, increase market share, and resolve customer issues.
- Collaborate with sales executives to expedite response times, delivery schedules, and minimize aged inventory.
- Ensure timely resolution of outstanding accounts receivable (AR) and prevent overdue payments.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and undertake additional duties as required.
- Comply with Volvo’s risk management protocols and training requirements for self and team.
- Support sales planning and contribute to core and functional team objectives.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including strategic partnerships with key bodybuilders.
- Provide guidance and support to sales executives on sales-related matters.

- Achieve new truck sales volume targets.
- Achieve used truck sales volume targets.
- Meet targets for soft product sales.
- Maintain zero overdue accounts receivable.
- Maintain zero aged inventories
- Ensure consistent reporting of sales activities in the CM system.
- Attain Commercial Crew activity and success rate targets.
- Deliver high customer satisfaction in customer experience and technical support, both internally and externally.
Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications and Certificates
- University degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Formal training in leadership, communication, and people management.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- 5–10 years of sales experience in commercial vehicles.
- In-depth knowledge of Volvo products and competitor offerings.
- Strong understanding of local standards, regulations, and policies for vehicle homologation.
Necessary Technical / Functional / Language Skills
- Ability to advice customers and sales staff on Volvo products.
- Solid understanding of Volvo Group businesses.
- Proficiency in English (all documentation is in English).
