Purpose of role:

The role is responsible building and developing a group of IDP (Independent Pharmacy) key strategic partners to exceed company-set sales and profit targets. This includes implementing business plans, maximising sales, forecasting and planning, category development, promotions planning, managing product lifecycle, and coordinating business activities.


Responsibilities include:


Relationship Management & Business Planning

  • Build strong relationships with key strategic retailers
  • Develop and implement channel/customer prioritisation and growth strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deploy plans
  • Deliver monthly KPIs: Invoice Sales, Net Sales, Sellout, ROI, Stock in Trade, Forecast Accuracy


Category Management

  • Improve shelving, display, and promotional execution
  • Launch new products and ensure marketing plan execution
  • Implement store drivers (range, space, promotion, display)


Forecasting & Inventory Management

  • Generate sales forecasts and market insights
  • Monitor inventory health and collaborate with supply chain
  • Address inventory issues with action plans


Principle Accountabilities

  • Net Sales, Trade Spend %, ROI, Forecast Accuracy, Sell-out, SIT
  • Lead annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) with strategic customers
  • Manage trade terms and improve ROI
  • Advocate for customer needs and align internal plans accordingly


Team Management

  • Lead account performance by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Contribute to a winning culture with accountability and customer focus
  • Ensure execution excellence
  • Stay connected to external trends and use data to adapt and innovate
  • Prioritize high-impact work and seek alternative solutions when needed


Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or any related discipline
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in similar role, preferably from the FMCG industry
  • Able to work independently, energetic and highly passionate about work in driving sales growth
  • Dynamic person embedded with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with abilities to liaise with internal and external cross function stakeholders
  • A sense of independence to work individually and as a team player, and ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for growth in business and a proven track record in generating, leading and converting opportunities
  • Displays a growth mindset to identify and actualise new opportunities, maximise value add for our products and reduce ineffective costs
  • Plays the role of the customer champion internally while being responsive to customer needs, ensuring smooth communication and follow up
  • Displays curiosity to explore insights and test new ways of working (commercial innovation)
  • Detailed category management knowledge and ability to determine portfolio strategy by channel and customer
  • Fundamental understanding of shopper marketing management especially shopper insight
  • Experience in managing distributor/ logistics partner to optimise customer service levels
  • Experience in developing a bottom-up customer forecast, as an input into the demand planning process
  • Strategic Selling and negotiation skills
