About the Job

  • This position will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Business Development team. You will be responsible for the effectiveness and productivity of the Sales & Marketing team.
  • In consultation with Business Development Managers, prepare quotations for clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the end to end management of marketing campaigns to ensure their smooth and effective function.
  • Maintain records of sales targets and confirmed sales, and provide detailed reports to the National Business Development Manager.
  • The role involves integrating financial, shipment, quality, and operational data in an insightful way to drive deep understanding of our customers and how to serve them and developing tools and processes to support efficient Sales and Marketing operations.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with cross functional teams, have an interest in Sales & Marketing, and the drive to always think strategically.
  • To assist & support BD Managers with sales and marketing campaigns and qualification of all internal and external lead sources.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Support Services

  1. In consultation with Business Development Team, prepare quotations for clients in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Prepare tenders, service level agreements and standard operating procedures for new or existing World Courier clients to ensure robust expectations are set and practices established to guide future partnership activities.
  3. Manage all lead generation activities provided by internal World Courier teams with a view to securing future business for the organisation.
  4. Track and report on overall Business Development KPIs.

Reports and Statistics

  1. Maintain records of sales targets, confirmed sales, and provide weekly and monthly detailed reports as required.
  2. Provide tailored reports for key clients ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Sales Analysis:

  1. Maintaining Sales Force data systems, including account set up and monthly reports.
  2. To conduct market research in industries/sectors that are of interest to World Courier within & out of existing business portfolio for continued business growth desired.
  3. To provide support in identify appropriate marketing measurements/opportunities, such as advertising to secure leads and increase overall brand awareness.
  4. Any other relevant duties as required by your manager.

Teamwork and Collaboration

  1. Contribute to team and organisational wide discussions by sharing ideas, experiences and recommendations around improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the business
  2. Effectively collaborate with team members to ensure that the function is operating effectively and efficiently, while maintaining an efficient support network for the team.
  3. Managing remote business relationships and supporting Business Development Managers during periods of travel/on road sales

What are we looking for?

Experience & Educational Requirements

  1. 2-3 years of sales and marketing experience in a related industry - air-express (preferred)
  2. Sound experience in a customer service or administrative role
  3. Advanced experience in Sales Force/CRM software
  4. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  5. Ability to build strong relationships with a range of diverse stakeholders
  6. Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  7. Basic knowledge of distribution and logistics concepts

  9. Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands
  10. Clear oral and written communication.
  11. Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with a willingness to engage with many stakeholders.
  12. Japanese language proficiency will be a plus
