Science Advocacy Executive

Cancer Research Malaysia is looking for an experienced Science Advocacy Executive — someone who loves storytelling and can translate complex scientific concepts into powerful, engaging content for the public.
In this role, you will be the voice of our science, helping donors, communities, and the public understand the real-world impact of cancer research. If you are passionate about science communication and enjoy presenting, educating, and inspiring people, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
Translate scientific research into clear, meaningful public-friendly content
Deliver talks, tours, and presentations (online & in-person) as a public-facing advocate
Work with Marcomms to create compelling stories that show donors how their support drives impact
Help drive community engagement to increase donor acquisition and retention
Co-develop & co-manage a Patient Volunteer Program, supporting patient-led advocacy and storytelling
What We’re Looking For:
Science education background (pharmaceutical, research, medical, or cancer-related preferred)
Working experience in research and/or science communication
Strong presentation skills and a passion for public engagement
Experience working with patient communities is an added advantage
