Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
Surveillance and Monitoring :
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to detect suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular checks of the premises, including both interior and exterior areas, to ensure security.
- Report any security breaches or issues immediately to the supervisor or relevant authorities.
Access Control :
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying the identity of employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed on the premises.
- Manage the signing-in and signing-out processes for visitors, contractors, and employees.
Patrolling and Inspections :
- Perform routine patrols of the premises to detect and deter security breaches, vandalism, or unsafe conditions.
- Check the condition of doors, windows, and other entry points to ensure they are secure.
- Inspect security equipment and systems for malfunctions or needed repairs.
Emergency Response :
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, or incidents such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or breaches in security.
- Take appropriate action during emergencies, including assisting with evacuations or calling emergency services.
- Provide assistance to law enforcement or emergency responders when required.
Incident Reporting :
- Document security incidents, accidents, or violations clearly and accurately in incident reports.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
Additional certifications in security, law enforcement, OSH Coordinator or first aid are a plus.
