Senior Buyer

We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Senior Buyer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Descriptions & Responsibilities:

• Material Planning & Sourcing: Lead sourcing and development for plastic materials, frame, sheet metal, cable assemblies, and electrical/mechanical components.
• Supply Chain Strategy: Implement and monitor our overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Vendor Management: Establish and manage relationships with local and international suppliers; negotiate pricing, quantity, quality, and trading terms.
• Order Management: Actively chase and expedite orders, ensuring timely delivery.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier delivery performance (OTD, Open POs) and manage quality performance (QPPM, NCR).
• Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, planning, production control, sales, and quality teams to meet sales targets and manage inventory needs.
• Budget Management: Prepare cost estimates, conduct cost analyses, and manage budgets effectively.
• Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the purchasing team, lead meetings with customers and suppliers, and drive improvements in supply chain systems and processes.
• Project Management: Manage new supplier selection, RFQ/RFI processes, negotiation, contracting, and supplier evaluation.
• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department or top management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract manufacturing or the semiconductor industry.
• Experience in project management and global sourcing.
• Proficiency in SAP or Epicor systems preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with solid analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure, with a willingness to work overtime when necessary.
