We are looking for a Senior Category Nutritionist to apply findings of research, dietary guidelines, relevant population trends,nutritional needs and wants, and nutritional profiling into renovations & innovations of nutrition products & drive continuous improvement of Nestlé products; credible brand communications and stories. Transfer nutrition knowledge among peers and business stakeholders. Protect the company's reputation, inspire and enable its Purpose.

A day in the life of Senior Category Nutritionist...

• Nutrition Business partner (co-pilot) for guiding product category(ies) Innovation & Renovation (I&R) and brand nutrition communication by translating nutrition science and target population nutritional needs and support corporate programs/initiatives and their implementation/ customization in the market.
• Inspire nutrition, dietary & dietetics dimensions into business category strategy. Leads the interpretation/evaluation of available knowledge and nutrition science to guide business partners and product developers. Coordinate market nutritional landscaping, dietary intakes, nutrition & health status understanding activities. Responsibility for market driven Nutritional Education and training activities internally ( e.g. brand bulders, product developers) or externally (consumer programs, customers)
• Ensures the provision of credible & timely technical assistance, nutrition guidance for business / product category under responsibility or tranversally across various businesses . Ensure knowledge transfer of nutrition solutions to market Application Group in factories.
• Proactively drives the identification of nutrition gaps & opportunities for product portfolio evolution & growth. Collation of nutrition science, nutrition landscaping ,knowledge on key insights from consumer data, competitive analysis and global and local trends, translate relevant nutrition knowledge into competitive and feasible product concepts and solutions.
• Proactively lead & provide nutrition inputs in the new market driven product development at early stage and with continuous inputs along the end to end process. Identify targeted population nutritional needs, insights and opportunities. Responsible to guide product nutritional criteria in compliance with external /market regulations and internal guidelines & standards.
• Proactively define desired nutritional profile for target population of specific product category. Consideration of product as part of a diet, define product 's nutritional composition, its nutrition value & measures (criteria, thresholds, scores), lead nutritional assessment to achieve nutritional superiority . Validate final product’s nutritional criteria & composition.
• Proactively guide and inspire products' Nutrition Health & Wellness (NHW) messaging and claims on the label and beyond. Guide on translation of science into Consumer Communication and product labelling, validate relevant easy-to-understand & compelling nutrition communication messages for all appropriate touch points: on pack, digital , Point of Sale (POS) etc. Master nutrition dimension inputs into product label text development process. Responsible for nutrition table information & guide front and back of pack, nutrition and health claims /messaging , GDA, Portion Guidance etc. for product category(ies).
• Proactively assess for opportunities to communicate or develop new claims to create competitive advantage. Ensure the substantiation behind nutrition or health claims development. Deploy NHW claims positively evaluated by scientific authorities and /or by Nestlé Health Claim Panel in line with business and brand strategy, guide claims within I/R process. Develop scientific substantiation for market driven nutrition & health claims: e.g. write a scientific rationale document for health claims to be evaluated by HQ business and scientific teams.
• External KOL/ authorities engagement. May represent the organization at different nutrition forums and convenings, including food industry/technical working groups, conferences or scientific meetings, including being the liaison person for sponsored events
• Responsible for product portfolio nutrition-related KPIs deliverables. Responsible to deliver the KPIs in timely manner and to manage any challenges associated with it
  
  

What Will Make You Successful

• University degree (BSc in Nutrition or Nutritional Sciences) with at least 3 years of work experience in industry and/or public health nutrition organizations.
• Result-oriented and show high level of initiative
• Ability to translate science into easy, consumer friendly communication
• Ability to work alone & in cross functional teams
• Works autonomously with general/ limited supervision. Demonstrate solid mastership of standards, and practices as defined for the function, and in the scope of the role / specialty. Can train others on nutrition.
• Problems faced can be challenging, but typically not complex. Able to complete complex tasks & to apply critical thinking skills.
• Can influence/guide others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English and BM, oral and written.
