Senior Data Engineer

You are required to execute the work of implementing and supporting the technical solutions implemented in the data lake. You will focus on the technical configuration aspects (i.e. in the data lake) including data ingestion and integration frameworks. You will be reporting directly to IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support technical solutions in the data lake as defined by Data Analysts and validated by Data Architects.
• Configure technical aspects of the data lake, including data ingestion and integration frameworks.
• Assist Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing optimized data models, pipelines, and frameworks.
• Develop scalable architecture across all layers of the data lake.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Apply DevOps practices to improve efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate across teams and regions with different roles.
• Recommend designs and experiment with new solutions for continuous improvement.
• Work under strong governance in a global and agile environment.
• Define processes, establish best practices, and mentor junior staff to build capability.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience that includes ETL/ELT workflow experience in design, configuration, data mapping, extraction, transformation and loading and writing high performing code and maintaining it.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Must have a strong system knowledge (Microsoft Azure, Data Factory, Databricks) and process orientation
• Must be comfortable working remotely and lack of face-to-face time with colleagues and managers
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of data governance and ABC framework metadata
• Technical skill on SQL, Python and Scala language
• Experience in Visualization tool such as Power BI
