We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as Senior Director, Priority Banking / Senior Director, Branch Distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Affluent Relationship Managers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, and achieving business targets. The team leader will play a pivotal role in driving team performance, developing team members, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Leadership and Team Management
- Responsible to hire, lead, coach, and manage a team of Affluent Relationship Managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear performance expectation, provide regular coaching, and conduct reviews to ensure team members’ performance.
- Provide regular guidance and coaching to enhance skills, knowledge, and productivity of the team.
- Encourage collaboration and teamwork, promoting a positive and motivating work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with Priority Clienteles.
- Understand client’s financial goals and provide tailored wealth management advisory and solutions.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Drive acquisition of new Priority Clients and grow assets under management (AUM).
- Develop and execute strategies to grow affluent customer base and product penetration.
- Collaborate with marketing, products, specialist team, and stakeholders in the bank to execute campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Proactively manage risks and maintain high standard of governance and ethical conduct.
- Keep abreast to market and regulatory changes.
Strategy
- To lead a team of Affluent Relationship Managers to achieve specified sales targets and service standards.
- To provide guidance on day-to-day portfolio management.
- To guide the team in training and leading sales staff in deepening relationship & maintaining ETB clients for Priority Banking.
- To supervise and co-ordinate the sales effort of Priority Banking marketing and promotional activities to meet new business and client acquisition goals.
- To conduct staff meetings and provide support / updates for sales campaigns and activities, procedural changes, management directives, etc.
- To ensure that the team build an information database on existing Priority Banking clients to support and deepen client relationship and cross selling efforts.
- Foster and deepen client relationships by providing regular market information updates and trend analyses on local and foreign financial products.
- To ensure that the team comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures and, in particular report any suspicious activity to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and line manager.
- To train and develop new sales staff.
- To develop action plans to improve team performance.
- To provide coaching and mentoring to team to facilitate staff retention.
- To liaise with Stakeholders for any exceptional, legal, compliance and operational cases to ensure both sales, operational and service activities at branch are managed well.
- 100% Operation control under operation risks guidelines and sales compliance.
- Non-compliance and control weaknesses inherent in the selected samples are detected and duly reported
- No unsatisfactory compliance reviews and audits on the conduct of CST and record keeping
- Maintaining robust controls and monitoring actions
- No overdue Control Sample Testing (CST).
- To achieve agreed sales targets and Priority Banking profitability.
- To achieve quality performance i.e. audit results, credit quality, business development and people management.

- Ensure compliance with Group Policy and Standards, local laws and regulations, controls and procedures of the Bank and regulatory requirements pertaining to Money Laundering and CDD.
- Participate in and/or support the Bank's effort in combating money-laundering activities.
- Exercise due care and diligence on matters related to Money Laundering and CDD in the day to day operations, which include account opening and reviews, transaction monitoring, reporting suspicions, customer communication, implementing new requirements, updating and revising operating procedures, acquire relevant knowledge and training, provide support to superior and subordinates.
Compliance And Money Laundering Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Group’s standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to Money Laundering and CDD.
- Participate and support the Bank’s effort in combating money-laundering activities.
- Exercise due care and diligence on matters related to Money Laundering and CDD in the day to day operations, which include account opening and reviews, transaction monitoring, suspicions activity reporting during client communication.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.]

- Minimum diploma/degree in any field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the wealth management, with at least 2 years in a leadership of supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of wealth products, service, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, execution, and customer service skills.
