Our Sales Department in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, is looking for a strong sales professional with expertise in key account management to join our growing business as a:
SENIOR KEY ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE MALAYSIA
Your Responsibilities:
- The role is responsible for supporting the Key Account Manager in building strong relationships with key retail chains by understanding their strategies and focus areas, and by consistently delivering joint business plans that lead to win-win outcomes for both the company and the dealers.
- Responsibilities include business planning, collaboration and promotions, business negotiations, event and Atrium sales planning, ensuring timely accounts receivable, setting monthly sales targets, providing sales reports and analyses, conducting business reviews, and ensuring execution as planned.
- Success in the role requires close collaboration with key stakeholders such as trade partners, marketing, supply chain, assortment, interior designers, visual merchandising (VM), sales operations, and the finance team to maximize sales revenue and drive customer profitability.
- The Key Account Executive also monitors market share progress and stays informed on competitors’ activities and promotions, comparing them to joint business plan activities. Action plans should be developed to defend against competitors as needed.
- Analyze the effectiveness of various initiatives and recommend actionable next steps. Manage spending within the allocated budget.
- Ensure timely submission of all sales reports and take responsibility for on-time payment collection from key accounts.
- Provide accurate, bottoms-up sales forecasts for the next three months to the Assortment, Planning, and Allocation teams.
Your ideal profile:
- More than 3 - 5 years of experience in key account management within the retail industry
- Strong negotiation and client relationship skills
- Ability to deliver clear and impactful business presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (incl. VLOOKUP, Power Pivot) and Power BI for data analysis and planning
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Solid experience in sales strategy, forecasting, and reporting
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration (marketing, supply chain, finance, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for business and sales reviews
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
