The Regional Growth Strategy and Planning team is a dynamic and diverse group united by a shared mission to drive user growth across Southeast Asia.

You will spearhead growth initiatives across the region by translating user insights into actionable, high impact programs. You will lead strategic projects that cut across products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute these programs.
You will navigate complex problem spaces, conduct market and user research, and leverage data-driven insights. Embracing an 'always day one' mindset is critical as we adapt and innovate to remain at the forefront of growth.
You will lead a small team and play a key role in their growth and success. You will report to the Regional Head of Markets Growth, with the role based onsite at the Grab Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Strategic Growth Projects: You will leverage data, insights, and strategic frameworks to identify opportunities that unlock growth across products and user segments. Drive cross-functional collaboration to turn insights into scalable initiatives.
- Stakeholder management: You will communicate with regional cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Influence decision-makers on growth initiatives, ensuring alignment on priorities and strategic direction. Collaborate across teams to design, prioritize, and execute high-impact projects.
- Execution Excellence: You will lead the conceptualization, prioritization, and end-to-end execution of growth initiatives at a regional level. Drive alignment on priorities, success metrics, timelines, and resource requirements. Champion post-mortem analysis to refine and scale successful initiatives.
- Performance monitoring: You will maintain a strong understanding of growth indicators and user performance trends across the region. Use these insights to inform regional growth initiatives and ensure they are grounded in the realities of business performance.
- Continuous Innovation: You will foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within your team. Encourage creative thinking, bold ideas, and calculated risk-taking to drive breakthrough growth outcomes.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in strategy development / user growth or related roles, in consulting, tech company or startup environment.
- You will build trust-based relationships with senior leaders across teams and leveraging data-driven insights to gain buy-in for initiatives.
- You think about what is required to achieve growth, structure and address ambiguous problems, develop data-driven perspectives on growth priorities across multiple countries, and advocate for critical initiatives.
- You will seek opportunities for innovation and growth, adapting to rapid changes and shifts in direction.
- You have experience supervising a small team, with demonstrated ability to guide team members in strategic direction.
