Job Responsibility:
- Production Scheduling:
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and
inventory levels.
• Ensure optimal utilization of production capacity and resources.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address any issues or delays.
2. Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate supply of materials to
support production schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement to manage inventory levels and minimize excess or
obsolete stock.
3. Coordination and Communication:
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to align
production plans with business objectives.
• Communicate production schedules and any changes to relevant stakeholders.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on production performance, including metrics such as on-time
delivery, production efficiency, and inventory levels.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning
processes and overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in production
planning.
6. Customer Focus:
• Ensure that production plans align with customer requirements and expectations.
• Monitor customer order fulfil
• Any other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned and when required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in an EMS or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills are crucial for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement in sourcing and procurement.
- Mandarin speaking will be an added advantage, which needs to communicate with HQ China colleagues and liaise with China market.
