We are looking for a Senior Product Application Expert - Variable Speed Drives (VSD) to make an impact!

 

What will you do?

  • Demand generation and prescription: Engage with target customers and consultants, deliver technical presentations on Schneider Electric’s portfolio of products and services related to soft starters and variable speed drives. Actively influence specifications for target accounts/projects.
  • Technical needs discovery and product selection: Analyse customer requirements from customer discussions and tender specifications, and propose suitable VSD products/solutions to meet requirements. Ensure that solutions meet necessary IEC standards and other industry requirements. Provide technical inputs in cost optimisation for complex bids.
  • Partner enablement: Upskill existing and new channel partners on VSD product selection. Where necessary, support partner capability building on VSD testing and commissioning.
  • Performance modeling: Calculate expected energy savings, torque profiles, and system efficiency improvements using SE engineering tools and selection software
  • Demos: Set up demos showcasing the advanced application functionalities of Schneider Drives that deliver tangible benefits to the customer

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Min Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Min 5 years of experience in VSD - low voltage and medium voltage. Good understanding on their functionality and applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to analyse technical issues and develop effective solutions
  • Passion for understanding and championing the needs of VSD users. Past field experience (e.g. drives testing and commissioning, troubleshooting) is preferred.
  • Assertive, adaptable, and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English. In addition, fluency in Chinese is preferred.
