About TruTrip

Grown out of the frustration of managing business travel ourselves, TruTrip is a 100% remote B2B Travel start-up set out to change the way corporate travel works in the Asia Pacific (APAC). We’re headquartered in Singapore, but have close to 25 staff across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, The Netherlands, South Africa, and more.

Working as a Senior Product Designer at TruTrip

We’re looking for a highly experienced Product Designer who is obsessed with improving customer experiences (on our business travel platform). Besides designing our core product, you’ll be deeply involved in establishing the right design initiatives for the team — ranging from discovery & research, to validation tests and feasibility discussions. 

You’ll be working closely together with the Head of Product and cross-functional teams consisting of (remote) Product managers, Designers and Engineers. We follow an agile methodology (scrum) of two-week sprints where we plan, review and do retros.

About the role (responsibilities)

When you join us you will,

• Facilitate discovery and problem solving sessions to collaborate cross-functionally in order to shape the vision, strategy, and roadmap of the product
• Map end-to-end user journeys with various perspectives together with the team (particularly with Product Managers and Front End Engineers).
• Prototype various flows and states of interactions with sharp attention to UI details and consult closely with engineers during the product delivery stage
• Communicate the value of design deliverables and their risks, rationalising your decisions and tradeoffs with product and engineering stakeholders 
• Seed understanding of our users and their needs by running generative and validation research directly with them
• Connect with your design peers to work with best practices by organising design deliverables, a design system, and shaping rituals in the craft
• Work with a strong understanding of data and seeing correlations of product metrics to understand the impact of your work and iterate further

Qualifications

The right person for us,

• Has about 5-7 years of experience in product design, ux design or service design building B2B SAAS applications
• Understands the double diamond very well
• Is naturally curious and always questions why.
• Is very experienced in using Figma, Miro and supercharging that with any AI assistant out there.
• Has experience in designing user-centered products and interfaces
• Is outcome-oriented and strives for high quality product implementation
• Is user-centred with an ability to run basic research from moderation to synthesis
• Is comfortable working with unknowns with an mindset of experimentation
• Is transparent and accountable in prioritising across multiple competing demands
• Knows the value of including cross-functional perspectives in design work
• Has very strong articulation in English to communicate internally and with users, being mindful of tonality in basic, plainspoken product writing
• Has strong motivation of working independently — but not siloed — with effective communication as part of a remote work setup 
• Has a background, or at least enthusiasm and curiosity for the Travel Industry
