Senior Purchasing Executive

About the role

WSG Properties Sdn Bhd, a leading property development company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Purchasing Executive to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, asset and equipment, and services required for our construction projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement robust procurement strategies to support the company's construction projects
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure the best possible terms and pricing
• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers
• Monitor and review supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials
• Collaborate with project teams to understand their requirements and identify suitable suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and budgets
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the construction or real estate industry
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain management
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficient in data analysis and financial management to optimize procurement decisions
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement
