Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E specialised)

The Company:
RSGx are an established management and engineering consultancy that have a portfolio of projects across the Infrastructure, Mining, Oil & Gas and Telecommunication sectors. With multidisciplinary capabilities in design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance RSGx provide services to a wide range of clients both nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for the mechanical and electrical aspects of new projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify cost factors and ensure all M&E requirements are covered.
• Produce project estimates and perform detailed measurements
• Assess subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure they are competitive and meet project specifications.
• Issue tender documentation
• Preparing, reviewing and presenting electrical tenders to inhouse team and clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in estimating M&E components, ideally within the construction industry.
• Skilled in the use of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards, with a focus on M&E systems.
• Exhibits a high level of integrity, reliability, and a proactive, results-driven approach.
