Qualifications & experience
- Proven experience as a retail manager or similar role, preferably in the footwear industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and POS systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good understanding of retail marketing strategies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is a plus.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Sales and Customer Service: Achieve and exceed sales targets. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns efficiently. Monitor and analyze sales performance and trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise store staff. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of products. Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies. Manage product displays to enhance customer experience and drive sales. Coordinate with suppliers for orders and deliveries.
- Store Operations: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Implement and enforce store policies and procedures. Manage cash handling and financial transactions. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Marketing and Promotions: Develop and execute in-store promotions and events. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement advertising campaigns. Utilize social media and other platforms to promote the store. Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular sales and inventory reports for management. Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and improved profitability. Track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
