Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book)

About the role

Dae Guk M Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book) to join our team in Samalaju, Bintulu, Sarawak on a contract basis. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of comprehensive health, safety and environmental measures at our construction site, in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
• Providing on-site safety training and guidance to all site personnel
• Monitoring and enforcing compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to all safety-related activities
• Collaborating with the project management team to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of site operations

What we're looking for

• Possession of a valid Yellow Book certification or equivalent safety qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry
• Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure site safety
• Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement
