Responsibilities

Make an impact The Software Development Manager (SW Hub) will play a pivotal role in leading, mentoring, and managing a team of software engineers that are allocated to various regional projects. This position demands an individual who can provide technical guidance, foster a culture of continuous learning, and ensure adherence to Swisslog's development standards, processes, and quality guidelines. Leadership

• Provide expert technical mentorship to a diverse team of software engineers specifically in the Software Hub team.
• Guide and support team members in their technical growth and career development. Identify skill gaps within the team and plan for trainings to address these needs.
• Liaise with Operations Manager to allocate resources effectively and manage the team's workload.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence, encouraging team members to explore new technologies and methodologies. Technical/Commercial Knowledge
• Maintain an awareness of Swisslog Product team related technologies.
• Ensure team member’s adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
• Involved in projects in the capacity as a Software Developer. Teamwork
• Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the software development team.
• Encourage open communication, knowledge sharing, and mutual support among team members.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment where diverse perspectives are valued.
• Implement strategies to improve team dynamics and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Ability to work in virtual Cross country / regional teams. Communication
• Facilitate clear, concise, and effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
• Encourage open and transparent communication channels to ensure all team members are informed and aligned.
• Act as a liaison between the software development team and other departments to ensure seamless collaboration.
  
  

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed

• At least 5 years of working experience in similar capacity, with proven experience of leading successful software development projects technically.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities
• Strong Java Programming skills
• Strong trouble shooting skills.
• Knowledge in SQL, OO, Java.
• Demonstrated ability to function well within a group.
• Written and verbal skills in English
• Experience in Logistics and automated logistics solutions.
• Experience with on site commissioning activities.
• Practical software development experience in JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, EJB, JSF is a plus.
• Experience in Oracle Weblogic, Wildfly, Maven, Git Lab is added advantage.
