Qualifications & experience

• High school, diploma or equivalent required, some college or technical training in accounting or computer science preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in Software Support Technician or help desk role, experience with accounting systems preferred but not required.
• Minimum technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems.
• Experience with remote desktop support.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal staff and external clients through phone, email, chat, and in-person channels.
• Respond to and resolve technical issues related to accounting software in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor and maintain accounting systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Install, configure accounting, pos and payroll software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues.
• Document technical issues and resolutions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide training and support to staff on accounting systems and software as needed.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives related to accounting systems as assigned.
