You will execute technical advocacy and consultative value selling across construction projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead proactive technical specification and consultative selling efforts, targeting identified construction projects in line with KPIs.
  • Develop and nurture early engagement with project stakeholders from design to construction phases, ensuring project handover to Sales Team.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations, seminars, and workshops to architects, consultants, engineers (AEC professionals), quantity surveyors (QS), and building owners.
  • Build strategic relationships and trust with architects, specifiers, contractors, developers, and project owners.
  • Advocate for and promote premium and differentiated Lysaght products, aiming to minimize substitution risks during construction phases.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned construction sub-segments.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, project trends, and customer insights to Marketing Communications, Technical, and Product Development teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with downstream and midstream teams to align technical resources and marketing efforts toward specification success.
  • Uphold and reinforce company governance standards, including ethical selling, anti-bribery compliance, and occupational safety.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction as well as up-sell and cross-sell potential within existing customers to maximize share of wallet.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science, Architecture, Business, Marketing or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in specification work, consultative selling, technical sales, or key account management, preferably within the Building and Construction sector.
  • Experience working with steel building products or roofing/cladding solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. CIDB, ISO, SIRIM, MyHijau etc.).
  • Analytical skills, planning accuracy, cross-functional collaboration, bilingual, self-driven.
  • Proven track record in managing key accounts and closing high-value deals.
