Our Sales Department in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is looking for an experienced retail sales professional to join our growing business as a

SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE


Purpose of the Job

Responsible for meeting store’s targeted business growth by ensuring Best-in-class Sales Fundamentals for each store.


General Duties & Responsibilities

Plan monthly sales target and forward them, as per Brand & Key Account Manager building block by counter. Provide inputs and adjust plan accordingly to deliver target set.

  • Deploy monthly target, promotion mechanics, and price changes to Sales Advisors and ensure effective execution on

the ground.

  • Monitor & Review Sales, feedback to Brand & Key Account Manager

1. Trade Relationship Building/Store Penetration

  • Play a key role in representing the company to the trade by building rapport and maintaining goodwill with store

personnel.

  • Update on any news/development at respective stores on personnel changes, store re-structure and any other relevant

matters.

  • Stores penetration – buyers, KPI of buyers, store operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring full and timely collection from dealers (Independent stores/Credit Stores)

2. Promotions Scheduling

  • Negotiate and plan promotion with buyers according to KAM’s deployment, or to close gap plan vs. competitions.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely follow up to execute promotions with excellence – e.g. submitting proposal, stocking-up,

liaising with internal departments, confirmation, signage, price tags, etc.

3. Distribution/Range

  • Understand shoppers’ profile of stores and right products by analyzing portfolio/sell out data by brand/segment/price

point.

  • Feedback on the right distribution of brands for assigned stores.
  • Ensure effective management of right product /range mix at respective counters.

4. Inventory Management

  • Manage and maintain a reasonable average month of stocks per counter, correct any overstock or under stock situation at the counter.
  • Inter-transfer / Redeployment stocks insufficient at the counter.
  • Ensure that the company’s product is not subject to potential possibilities of pilferage.
  • Conduct & review stocks take exercise according to the schedule.

5. Counter Management

  • Ensure that assigned counter meet standards set on Visual Merchandising – e.g. counter trans/posters, proper display · Ensure overall counter is maintained as per guideline – e.g. dealers, counter maintenance and etc.

6. Supervision of Sales Advisors (SA)

  • Work closely with respective Retail Operation Supervisors to ensure the right numbers of SA headcount, and feedback on manpower requirement & issues to deliver store target.
  • Observe SA at counter and provide constructive – feedback on SA development plan/training needed. Coach and guide SA on the job during store visit trips.
  • Provide feedback on SA appraisal/performance.

7. Competitors’ Activities / Market Intelligence

  • Feedback to Management on competitors’ promotional campaigns, turnover, and/or personnel changes.
  • Monitor and feedback competition activities that will impact sales and market share. Highlight any major key competition threat to respective superior/Brand & Key Accounts.

8. Other Responsibilities

  • Feedback trade opportunity and product approach to each and every specific customer.
  • Ensure on-time submission of SA claims, OT, annual/ medical leaves, part-timer claims, etc.
  • Accounting management, example Accounts Receivable, Discount on sales and others that related financial matters
  • Work with Fulfil Order (FOR) on inventory availability, quotation, counter information update, delivery updates, dealer’s inquiry/ feedback/ complaints and others.
  • Perform forecasting to help in ordering and inventory control.

Your ideal profile:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in sales preferably from the Fashion/FMCG/Retail industry.
  • Language Skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to converse in local dialects an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • IT proficiency
  • Proficient in MS Excel/ Pivot Table.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
  • Other skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in managing changing business needs.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Good number sense with good analytical skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Mobility
  • Willing to travel within the Central Malaysia region for business needs.
  • Must possess own transport (car).
