PROCESS & EQUIPMENT ENGINEER- BACKEND/LABELING ENGINEERING

Job Summary

• Develop or maintain a highly effective plan to meet the high standard of operation to meet the engineering KPI.
• Formulate a program to establish the backend process simplification and automation to improve operation/HPU and achieve cost saving
• To establish all labeling processes and tester/ equipment capacity/productivity models for integrated automation
• To maintain Label tester and vision inspection machine functionality, maintenance and software upgrade or even development
• To ensure necessary control, equipment maintenance, setup, safety, PCP are carried out or established to meet the product specifications
• To lead a group of AE/techs/MS to support projects besides daily tasks and to support OTD, scrap and rework reduction
• Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership, development, and training as required.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer science
• 1 to 3 year's experience in the manufacturing process and able to manage process enhancement via automation.
• Good computer literacy, data mining and software development with C# and VB net knowledge will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in the motion control, IO Control, robotics and machine vision is preferable.
• Possess good analytical skills to resolve job related problems for timely corrective actions
• Originate and develop sound ideas for process and technical improvements.
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible to establish, implement and drive all actions to improve process yield and maintenance uptime to meet engineering KPI
• Responsible for backend process, maintenance, debug, machine troubleshooting and software documentation
• To conduct gage repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies as well as actions to improve both capabilities and UPH of the automated assembly or inspection equipment
• Generate reaction plans or in advance solution for OOC situations to ensure operation is not affected
• To assist the manufacturing personnel in operator training, qualification & improving operator utilization/productivity as well as Backend equipment maintenance, spare parts and automation software
• Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time to ensure proper execution.
• Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, ISO, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement on machine yield, capability, productivity and etc. which is necessary to achieve cost saving as well
