Supply Chain Business Analyst Lead

You will lead the design and migration of offline manual reports or Oracle subscription reports into official PowerBI workspaces and applications, complying with PPG corporate IT guidelines and following best-practice models across PPG, either independently or in partnership with Corporate IT DA/DE resources.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business end-users to understand pain points of manual work, suggest IT solutions to support business continuity and establish proper baseline ahead of Connect PPG migration and replumbing work.
• Be someone in advancement of PowerBI models that are forming part of global x-ERP / x-SBU applications.
• Deliver business specifications for new reports or enhancements to existing reports in collaboration with the owner(s) of the relevant area, with an understanding of technical complexity and feasibility.
• Create fixes and changes to existing reports and new reports, including formal data validation and regression testing from both technical and business perspective before application owner validation.
• Monitor in-scope reports for system bugs (job refresh failures, etc.).Troubleshoot end-user issues; determine if user error, bug, or enhancement required.
• Develop digital training materials, conduct training on PBI reports and Microsoft PBI features to support Refinish organization change management and advancement of the SBU's digital strategy.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain organizations across PPG globally to understand reports or features that can be harmonized or made available to Refinish.Partner with IT organization (FLIT, DA COE, DE in Technology Centers) to expedite and improve the delivery of in-scope BI projects.
• Engage with Connect PPG S4 team, Analytics RTR stream, to support replumbing activities of critical Supply Chain reports; opportunity to understand new IT solutions and strategic direction of PPG analytics becoming available by S4.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, business administration or related discipline.
• Experience in Power BI, Analysis for Office, and data modeling and analysis
• Knowledge of ERP systems include SAP or Oracle.
• An understanding of basic concepts, terminology and practical application of current and new technologies.
• Experience with architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, and programming languages.
• Participate in teams.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms
• Experience gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes
• Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term goals.
• Analytical skills for solving problems
