Overall Purpose of the Job

Toll manages and delivers case management and a range of services on behalf of the Australian Department of Home Affairs in order to support Refugees and Humanitarian Visa Clients with the medical assessment process and subsequent travel to Australia.

As the Supply Chain Manager for the Asia region, you will contribute to this by managing the strategic and operational Supply Chain function in your region to ensure efficiency, safety, and effectiveness of the activities to create an agile, customer focused and sustainable operating model that meets the unique needs of our customers.

As a senior member of the regional team, you will support the Regional Manager with the management of overall business outcomes, business facilities and staffing.

Your responsibilities include the line management of field-based Logistics professionals who support operations in India, Malaysia and Thailand.

Primary Responsibilities

Suppliers

  • Partner with major subcontractors when they operate in region and all Tier 3 subcontractors to ensure the services provided are of the highest standard and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Ensure that the unique needs of the Refugee and Humanitarian Visa applicants are always a factor in the delivery of all services.
  • Ensure all Transit Services are delivered with the highest standards of safety and customer security.
  • Develop and implement a Supply Chain performance management framework that supports service monitoring and improvement, this includes establishing a supply chain development plans and strategic approach towards local suppliers.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to be proactive and to increase productivity and streamline the chain.
  • Maintain a supply chain expertise and stay up to date with current supply chain activities across relevant industries and/or business.
  • Ensure that service delivery in remote locations is consistent with contractual requirements and expectations, this includes the use of innovative ways to monitor remote service delivery.
  • Immigration Medical Providers: Monitor and report on delays or issues in securing medical appointments for medical examinations.
  • Identify where new Suppliers are required and source these in line with business requirements.

Stakeholders

  • Support the Regional Manager in developing and enhancing excellent working relationships with regional representation of major stakeholders (see Key Relationships) in a culturally diverse area.

Toll Group

  • Be a Safety Leader that identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee and customer safety.
  • Supports the Regional Manager with reporting, presentations, and Stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the Regional Manager with the management of office facilities and fleet.
  • Analyse situations clearly and undertake reparatory action when deficits are found to exists.
  • Identifies opportunities and contribute to process improvement and business design.

In order to succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

Knowledge/Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain process fundamentals of purchasing and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience in managing a Supply Chain and Logistics framework and strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with the stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and high level of understanding on financial management and strategy planning in the identification and development of solutions.
  • Be a clear and frequent communicator with a high standard of written and oral business language skills in English.
  • Strong awareness and consideration of the political implications and religious sensitivities that apply to staff, customers, and supplier in the region of responsibility.

Technical/Professional Skills

  • Advanced use of the MS Office Suite in programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Publisher, Visio &/or Access.
  • The ability to become proficient with Move Maestro.
  • The ability to become proficient in the use of TRAC.

Qualifications

  • Desirable – Tertiary qualification in relevant field such as supply chain management, business development or leadership.
  • Working with Children Credentials from an Australian State or Territory (if an Australian Citizen).
  • Be able to provide an annual clear Criminal Records Check(s) from your country of citizenship(s) and every country you have lived in for 12 months or more in the last 5 years.

Eligibility

  • National Passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally within your region.
  • Full Driver’s License.
