Role Profile
We are hiring a Sustainable Investments Analyst in our Kuching office. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is one of the key verticals within Financial Content Operations which caters to clients engaged in equity research. ESG provides integrated financial and extra-financial information, which is essential for understanding the long-term performance and risk profile of major corporations. Our comprehensive ESG database covers nearly 80% of the global market cap and over 500 metrics, including all exclusion (ethical screening) criteria and all aspects of sustainability performance.
The data are gathered from publicly available information sources and is manually collected to ensure that the information is standardized, comparable and reliable. All the ESG data collected is quality controlled and verified in a rigorous process by our experienced analysts and robust automated checks. The successful candidate is responsible for capturing ESG data into the system and making sure that it is timely, complete, and accurate.
Role Responsibilities
We are currently on Hybrid work mode (3 days working in office, 2 days working remotely).

Role Responsibilities
- Collect ESG related quantitative and qualitative data from multiple information sources including annual reports, sustainability reports, websites, and other filings of publicly traded companies.
- Research and analyse collected data as per a pre-defined ESG Ratings methodology
- Support analysis with brief comments and rationale
- Provide appropriate references of source documents used
- Process data according to set timeliness, including data coming from Contributors
- Support specific projects, as assigned by manager
- Responsible for delivering high productivity and quality data
- Proactively identify and resolve data problems
- Support continuous improvement of the process by sharing observations and feedback on the process
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Professional working proficient in English and Mandarin (reading and comprehension at minimum secondary school level), as daily research work involves reading documents in these languages.
- Ability to work independently with high degree of ownership
- Ability to meet strict weekly timeliness and quality standards established by the department
- Ability to multi-task and be results driven
