Role Overview

Join Maxis as a Tax Intern and gain valuable experience in the dynamic field of taxation. This internship provides hands-on exposure to tax compliance, documentation management, and data analysis. You’ll work closely with the tax team to support tax incentive applications, prepare tax schedules and computations, and liaise with business users to ensure accurate and complete documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation Management: Extract, collate, and manage supporting documentation required for tax incentive applications.
• Tax Compliance Support: Assist in the preparation of tax schedules, computations, and returns to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Data Extraction and Analysis: Extract relevant data from accounting systems for tax purposes and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Stakeholder Collaboration; Liaise with business users to obtain necessary supporting documentation and clarifications for tax-related matters.
• Withholding Tax Management: Prepare withholding tax schedules, collate supporting documentation, and perform reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  
  

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax documentation and computations.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
