Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Tax Submission & Reporting
  • Prepare the annual tax computations and tax returns for review and submit the annual tax returns before the statutory deadline.
  • Prepare annual withholding tax report for tax purpose. This includes verifying the withholding tax remittance forms and payment receipts.
  • Prepare HLBB group of companies' provisional tax computations for the purposes of tax estimates/revised tax estimates and YE tax provision.
  • Analyze the selected income, expenses, provision accounts and deferred income general ledger.

Tax Liaison
  • Liaise with overseas branches for tax information/ documents.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on tax related matters and attend to their queries.
  • Attend to tax enquiries from tax authorities including compiling documents required for tax audits.
  • Ensure transfer pricing documentation is in compliance. Work with external advisors and coordinate with the various stakeholders in order to complete the documentation on an annual basis.

Project Management
  • Assist with projects such as e-invoice & service projects

Jobholder Requirements:

Requirements
  • Malaysian citizen.

Education/Qualification
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a quantitative discipline (e.g. Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics).
  • Preferably with ACCA/CPA and/or relevant professional qualifications (e.g. FRM; PRMIA; CFA).

Experience
  • 3 years and above relevant work experience; Banking/Finance/Insurance Industry is a plus.
  • Work experience in departments such as accounting/ tax/audit with a big accounting firm is a plus.
