Tax Manager

Job Summary

Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position. Oversee tax compliance, including computations, return filings, and transfer pricing. Manage tax risk and international tax issues, lead the tax team, and support regional operations as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• To provide effective tax planning strategies and/or solutions and implement tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position
• To coordinate, managing and review of tax computations and related corporate tax compliance processes including transfer pricing documentation and attending to tax enquiries
• To coordinate, preparing and filing of accurate tax returns of indirect taxes such as sales tax, VAT, excise duties on timely basis
• To undertake tax risk management exercises and tax related projects
• To lead tax team members on projects and assignments
• To manage tax implications of international operations and cross border transactions
• To travel and support regional overseas companies, when required

Job Requirements

• Must possess professional qualifications (MIT, MIA, MICPA, ACCA or equivalent) and/or Degree/Master in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
• Good understanding of tax rules, regulations and practices
• Experience/knowledge of cross-border transactions and indirect tax is a strong advantage
• Must possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Well-coordinated, takes initiative an able to work under minimum supervision
• Strong work ethics, integrity, good leadership skill and self-motivated
• Analytical mindset with attention to details
