Overview
Technical Supervisor supports the Facility Manager by assisting with the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a building or facility. Overview
Technical Supervisor supports the Facility Manager by assisting with the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a building or facility. Key responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, managing vendors and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting budget management, and assisting with facility projects and improvements to create a productive and safe environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility operations, coordinate repairs, and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure building systems are reliable and functional.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for services and maintenance, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure the facility meets health, safety, and environmental standards, and assist with the implementation of emergency response and disaster recovery plans.
- Assist with managing operational budgets, tracking costs, and preparing reports on facility performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support the planning and execution of facility projects, such as renovations, equipment installations, and space utilization improvements.
- Provide guidance and supervision to maintenance staff, ensuring they adhere to safety training and standards.
- Act as an administrative point of contact and maintain good relationships with internal departments, clients, tenants, and other stakeholders.
- Strong ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and lead teams to drive performance.
- Understanding of basic building systems, maintenance processes, and regulatory requirements for health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, vendors, and management.
- Basic knowledge of finance principles and budget management for cost-effective facility operations.
- Ability to identify and resolve facility-related issues promptly.

- Excellent Response and Reporting
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Facilities Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities management or building operations with knowledge of hard services and soft services.
- Strong people and vendor management skills
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-changing environment
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
