Your daily responsibilities include
Test Development & Implementation
- Design, develop, and validate test procedures for cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and related products.
- Develop ICT (In-Circuit Test), FCT (Functional Circuit Test), boundary scan, and custom test programs.
- Ensure test coverage aligns with customer specifications, IPC-A-620 standards, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to establish testing requirements for new assemblies.
Production Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing and testing teams.
- Troubleshoot test failures, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure test equipment calibration, maintenance, and availability to avoid production downtime.
- Train operators and technicians on testing procedures, tools, and safety requirements.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure test results and records are accurate, traceable, and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to analyze test data, yield, and defect trends, and drive improvements.
- Support internal and external audits related to product testing, safety, and compliance.
Continuous Improvement
- Introduce automation or advanced test methodologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
- Participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives to optimize test processes and reduce cycle time.
- Evaluate and recommend new test equipment, software, and technology aligned with industry advancements.

Additionally, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in testing within an EMS, cable/wire harness manufacturing, or related industry.
- Hands-on knowledge of test systems (e.g., Keysight, Teradyne ICT, Flying Probe, Cable/Harness testers )
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620, UL, and relevant customer/industry standards.
- Experience with test equipment such as multimeters, hipot testers, continuity testers, and automated test systems.
- Proficient in test software (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, Python, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (MS Excel, Minitab, or equivalent).
- Good problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
