Thai Cuisine Outlet Chef / Local Cuisine Outlet Chef

Salary Range : RM 8,000--- RM 10,000

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Thai and Local Cuisine Chef to join our dynamic team at Manna Food Trading in Johor Bahru, Johor. You will be responsible for leading the preparation and execution of exceptional Thai & Malaysia Local dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

A) Thai Cuisine Chef

Job Description

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Thai cuisine section, including menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management
  2. Ensure the consistent and authentic preparation of traditional Thai dishes, maintaining the integrity of flavours and presentation
  3. Train and mentor junior chefs & crews, sharing your expertise and knowledge to elevate the team's skills
  4. Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  5. Stay up-to-date with current culinary trends and techniques, and incorporate them into menu development as appropriate.
  6. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  7. Actively participate in inventory management, cost control, and budgeting
  8. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to management and coaching to staff

10) Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.

  1. Participate in special projects/programs as assigned
  2. Job reporting to Director

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Thai Cuisine Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
  • Expertise in Thai cuisine, including knowledge of traditional ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Formal culinary training in certification in Thai cuisine
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities and demands.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Passion for food and cooking.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work during weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Be receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Able to start immediately.

B) Local Cuisine Chef

Job Description
