A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Trade Compliance Manager, you are responsible for managing the Trade Compliance activities within Siemens Energy in the Asia Pacific Region, with particular focus on Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. You ensure that the necessary Customs processes are implemented and adhered to.
Your responsibilities include working closely with our various departments and partners such as procurement, production, order management, logistics and respective customs agents. To automate and ensure effective operations and processes, you should be open to new processes and strive to implement them.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develops plans and solutions to ensure Customs compliance and Process optimization in the Asia Pacific Region.
- You will work together with the Regional Customs team to identify and analyze local and global customs related risks in business and processes and support implementation of appropriate mitigation measures, and
- Contribute to the implementation of Customs regulations and
- Monitor, control and ensures corrective actions derived from external and internal reviews and Customs audits.
- Responsible for Broker Management and the implementation of standard operating procedures
- Degree in economics or law with a focus on foreign trade and customs or relevant experience in customs administration.
- Proven experience in Customs, with a background in managing operational units within a matrix organization.
- An independent and not hierarchically oriented working style and the ability to "create new things" also characterize you.
- Possess strong teamwork, decisiveness, assertiveness, and a structured, analytical working style, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- International experience in project management and organizational development, with strong negotiation, presentation, and moderation skills in cross country team.
- Experience in different areas of foreign trade, such as authorities, consulting companies, corporations, and associations, rounds off your profile
- Familiarity with customs and ERP systems, including expertise in requirements specification, testing, and rollout.
- Strong networking abilities and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
