Vice President, Group Sustainability - Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

Support sustainable practices and foster strong stakeholder relationships across CIMB Group. Manage sustainability stakeholder engagement, advocacy initiatives, and internal training to shape a more sustainable future. Work closely with the Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy and the Country Head of Group Sustainability, to make a lasting impact on our organisation's sustainability journey.

Job Responsibilities

1. Supporting the development, delivery and management of the overarching stakeholder engagement strategy.
2. Executing stakeholder mapping activities to identify effective engagement channels.
3. Implementing engagement channels with stakeholders, including organising awareness sessions, identifying training needs, and providing support to promote sustainability practices.
4. Assisting in the preparation of communication materials to address stakeholders’ inquiries on sustainability goals and progress. This includes writing the sustainability report, sustainability indices, and coordinating presentations and interviews for spokespersons.
5. Supporting the identification and delivery of sustainability training programmes based on needs, in coordination with internal stakeholders (L&D and business units and enablers).
6. Assisting in the management of stakeholder engagement channels, such as the Company’s website, sync-up pages, and social media platforms.
7. Implementing plans and assisting in organising stakeholder engagement events, including flagship The Cooler Earth Summit, participation in conferences, and exhibitions.
8. Coordinating stakeholder-facing meetings when required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
9. Collaborating with the stakeholder engagement team, actively contributing to workload activities to ensure timely completion and meeting all requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Sustainability Management, Environmental Studies, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  6-10 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or a related field. Preferably with 3 years of experience in a Sustainability role.
• Experience in a Sustainability/Marketing/Communications role. Banking experience is preferred.
• A strong passion for sustainability, with good understanding of global material issues such climate change, biodiversity loss and human rights.
• Experience in planning and assisting in the organisation of stakeholder engagement events, conferences, or exhibitions.
• Proficiency in writing sustainability reports, communication materials, and coordinating presentations for various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with managing stakeholder engagement channels, such as websites, and social media platforms.
• Ability in identifying, engaging, and managing stakeholders.
• Effective team work is a must.
• Basic project management / execution skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
