Warehouse Assistant

Responsibilities:

Receiving Goods:

• Unload incoming shipments and verify the contents against packing lists or purchase orders.
• Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors.

Inventory Management:

• Organize and store products in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in periodic stock counts.
• Use inventory management software to track stock levels.

Order Fulfillment:

• Pick and pack items according to order specifications.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments.

Warehouse Maintenance:

• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and report maintenance needs.

Safety Compliance:

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training and meetings.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Operating Equipment:

• Use material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
• Obtain necessary certifications for operating specific machinery, if required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to keep the warehouse orderly and efficient.
