Project Manager / Construction Manager

We are currently representing a leading logistics built-to-suit operator, which is expanding into the digital infrastructure sector with a pioneering hyperscale data centre project in Johor Bahru (JB). We're seeking an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager to join our team as a trailblazer in this exciting new venture. This candidate will lead the development and construction of our inaugural hyperscale data centre in JB. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning to delivery, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality completion. Your expertise will help the organization set the standard for future projects in this sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the project team, including contractors, consultants, and stakeholders

- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and operations

- Manage risks, conflicts, and changes throughout the project lifecycle

- Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals

- Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are met

- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and partners

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or related field

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing at least 2 cycles of data centers construction projects from start to finish

- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high quality

- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and regulations

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

- Familiarity with industry-standard project management tools and software

- Professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.)

- Experience in managing hyperscale data centre projects or similar large-scale industrial facilities

- Knowledge of data centre design and operations

- Familiarity with local regulations and standards in JB
