About the Role:
As a CBRE Data Center Sr Engineer, you will perform advanced preventative maintenance and complex corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. You will also provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
What You’ll Do:
Manage daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
Document and report to management.
Assist staff with difficult planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to high-priority HVAC-related client problems.
Review and approve meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities to ensure accurate information is being documented.
Subject mater expert on Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting.
Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
Follow all safety processes and requirements and confirm all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
Ensure that ACOP’s applicable to the maintenance industry procedures.
Conduct complex quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
Develop and implement work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment.
Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
Work within broad guidelines and policies. Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor Degree Preferred, or 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
