Job Summary
We are seeking an Engineering Lead for Cross Border & Domestic Payments to drive technical excellence, mentor multiple engineering leads, and ensure the successful delivery of large-scale, complex solutions. This role involves Strategic leadership, Architecture oversight, and engineering execution across multiple teams with strong background in Microservices Architecture along with deep expertise in retail banking and good Knowledge on ISO messaging Standards.
The ideal candidate will drive solution, architecture, design, and delivery ensuring compliance with security and governance standards with fostering innovation and efficiency in digital payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Engineering Excellence:
Design robust API-driven microservices solutions for retail payments, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
Define end-to-end solution architecture for payment applications, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technology solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of payment systems with other banking platforms and third-party services.
Conduct performance optimization and implement best practices to enhance reliability and scalability.
Collaboration and Alignment:
Work Closely with Product Owners and Chapters to define and implement Solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful implementation and deployment of payment solutions.
Actively participate in Solution reviews and architectural governance forums.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on emerging technologies in payment space.
Foster a culture of innovation by driving modernization initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
Align technical solutions with the organization long-term technology vision and business goals.
Leverage automation CI/CD and Sec Devops practices to improve software development efficiency.
Skills and Experience
Experience in Java Microservices architecture and development
Min 12 years in relevant experiences
Knowledge of Retail Payments (Domestic & Cross Border Payment) with Digital Channels interface, Encryption, and ISO8583 messaging standard
Familiarity with Digital Wallets (e.g., Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay) and QR Code Payments
Experience with Payment Gateways and Online Transaction Processing
Familiarity on PCI DSS and PA DSS compliance requirements
Experience with API integration for various payment methods (e.g., credit/debit cards, bank transfers, mobile payments)
Excellent in preparing the Solution Architecture document, Functional and technical spec
Experience in Cloud Services
Familiarity with Regulatory and Compliance requirements in Digital Payments
Qualifications
B TECH or BE or MBA grade in Computer Science/ Information Systems or related IT Area; 8 to 16 Years
