Otis Elevator Company (M) Sdn Bhd, 15-01 Menara Symphony, No 5, Jalan Semangat, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan , MalaysiaThe Talent Acquisition Lead, Southeast Asia, is responsible for leading recruitment delivery across multiple Southeast Asian countries, ensuring the timely hiring of high-quality talent across Sales, Service, Engineering, Field Operations, Corporate Functions, and Leadership positions.
This role serves as the primary Talent Acquisition partner to business leaders and HR stakeholders across the region, providing recruitment expertise, market insights, hiring recommendations, and proactive solutions to meet business talent needs. The incumbent will manage a small regional TA team (currently supported by direct reports and contractors), oversee recruitment operations, drive stakeholder engagement, and ensure hiring goals are achieved through effective workforce planning, talent attraction, and recruitment governance.
The role reports to the APAC Talent Acquisition Director and partners closely with HR, business leaders, recruiters, agencies, and regional stakeholders to deliver hiring outcomes across Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Delivery & Team Leadership

Lead end-to-end recruitment activities across Southeast Asia, ensuring the delivery of critical, technical, sales, field, corporate, and leadership hiring requirements.

Manage multiple requisitions and hiring priorities across countries while providing regular updates and hiring recommendations to key stakeholders.

Lead, coach, and develop the Southeast Asia TA team, including direct reports and recruitment contractors, ensuring effective workload allocation and accountability.

Drive recruiter performance through hiring reviews, sourcing strategies, and continuous capability development.

Ensure timely intake discussions, interview coordination, offer management, candidate dispositioning, and requisition closure are managed effectively by the team.

Monitor hiring progress and proactively address recruitment risks, bottlenecks, and aging requisitions.
Business Partnership & Talent Advisory

Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR teams on talent acquisition strategies, market conditions, talent availability, compensation competitiveness, and hiring feasibility.

Conduct regular hiring reviews with business leaders to provide updates on pipelines, challenges, risks, and action plans.

Partner with HRBPs and hiring managers to support workforce planning discussions through talent market intelligence and hiring recommendations.

Influence stakeholders to adopt efficient hiring practices, timely interview feedback, and strong candidate management.
Talent Attraction & Sourcing

Develop proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for critical and recurring hiring needs across the region.

Leverage multiple sourcing channels, including direct sourcing, referrals, talent communities, agencies, LinkedIn, and external networks.

Drive candidate engagement initiatives to improve offer acceptance rates and reduce offer declines and drop-offs.

Support employer branding, campus hiring, and targeted talent attraction initiatives aligned with business requirements.
Vendor & Agency Management

Manage agency partnerships across Southeast Asia to improve candidate quality, speed of delivery, and market coverage.

Monitor agency performance through agreed service levels, quality standards, and hiring outcomes.

Identify opportunities to optimize sourcing channels and improve recruitment effectiveness across the region.
Recruitment Operations, Analytics & Governance

Ensure compliance with recruitment processes, hiring policies, and governance standards.

Drive data accuracy and process discipline within recruitment systems, including Workday, Avature, and other recruitment platforms.

Monitor recruitment metrics including hiring volumes, aging requisitions, time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance, and recruiter productivity.

Prepare and present hiring insights, trends, and recommendations to HR and business leadership.

Identify and enforce process improvements to enhance recruitment quality, efficiency, and candidate experience.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline.

8–12 years of Talent Acquisition experience, including experience recruiting across multiple Southeast Asian countries.

Proven experience hiring for sales, engineering, technical, field operations, corporate, and leadership roles.

Experience leading and developing Talent Acquisition teams within a fast-paced environment.

Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence senior leaders and hiring managers.

Strong knowledge of Southeast Asia talent markets, recruitment trends, and sourcing strategies.

Experience using ATS platforms such as Workday, Avature, SuccessFactors, or similar systems.

Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and hiring demands simultaneously.
Preferred

Experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction, service, or multinational organizations.

Experience operating within a regional and matrixed environment.

Experience managing recruitment agencies and external sourcing partners.

Strong understanding of recruitment analytics, process improvement, and recruitment governance.
