Assistant Manager, Marketing – Bancassurance (Consumer Banking)

The role involves maintaining and developing new and profitable business and ensure high renewal retention with CIMB Consumer Banking and its strategic partners and customers.

The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for nationwide Banca performance and target assigned for new and renewal under CIMB Consumer Banking.

1. Work closely with Sales Management team to develop or enhance product, value proposition and business processes arising from business requirements, distribution channel needs and emerging opportunities.

1. Execute Banca strategies and action plans including but not limited to campaigns and initiatives according to business plan cascaded.

1. Render professional marketing and servicing including but not limited to timely visitation, conduct product & campaign briefing, handling customer’s enquiries or complaints according to the CIMB Consumer Banking sales channel/branches assigned.

1. Assist in driving cross selling through retail channel and achieve cross selling target assigned.

1. Build close working relationship with Relationship Managers, Branch Managers and Sales Managers of CIMB Consumer Banking. Underwrite all classes of insurance within the given authority limit and liaise with Underwriters on risk retention where appropriate.

1. Follow through credit control workflow on premium collection and CBC compliance and reconciliation of accounts.

1. Monitor and follow-up outstanding issues for policy issuance and notify CIMB Consumer Banking branches of discrepancies and follow-up on the amendments if any.

1. Handle ad hoc tasks/assignments assigned from time to time.

Job Specification:

Degree in any related discipline

Minimum 5 years of working experience in Bancassurance / General Insurance related to job responsibilities is required.

Skills

• Knowledge of General Insurance products
• Possess good presentation skills
• Possess good negotiation skills
• IT literate
