As a Contract Logistics Distribution Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will support end-to-end warehousing and distribution operations for our customers. Through disciplined execution and attention to detail, you help ensure smooth daily operations and reliable outcomes across our warehouses and distribution centres.

As a key member of the Distribution team, you will support the efficient execution of end-to-end distribution operations, with a strong focus on operational excellence, vendor management, and customer satisfaction. You will:

• Manage day-to-day distribution operations, including vendor coordination, route planning, and execution across Malaysia (including cross-border movements).

• Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth handovers, accurate process adherence, and a strong focus on safety and compliance.

• Own vendor management activities, balancing operational performance with customer-facing expectations.

• Support rate management and cost control initiatives to achieve agreed financial and operational KPIs.

• Deliver against customer and operational KPIs, particularly in cost, productivity, service quality, and customer retention.

• Play an active role in customer onboarding, retention, and issue resolution, collaborating with internal stakeholders as required.

• Contribute to planning activities, including daily task allocation (e.g. vendor-to-location planning).

• Actively support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring productivity targets are met or exceeded.

• Provide inputs for reporting and performance management when required.

We are looking for a hands-on operations professional with a strong distribution and logistics background, ideally from a contract logistics or transport environment.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in distribution, transport operations, or contract logistics.

• Proven experience in outbound distribution operations, including vendor or transporter management.

• Exposure to cross-border distribution within Malaysia is highly preferred.

• Strong operational planning skills with the ability to manage multiple daily priorities.

• Customer-centric mindset with experience supporting customer service and retention.

• Ability to work collaboratively across functions (operations, customer service, solution design).
