Why You’ll Love This Role

As a Database Admin, you'll play a key role in taking care of our data and making sure our systems run smoothly. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases
• Monitor database performance and assist in optimizing SQL queries, database configurations, and resource usage
• Learn and participate in creating and managing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
• Assist in setting up user accounts, roles, and permissions according to company policies
• Participate in maintaining database security, including managing encryption, access controls, and audits
• Work with the team to diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data corruption
• Assist in documenting database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and audits
• Provide support for database-related issues and participate in routine maintenance activities, including updates and patches
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and participate in training sessions as needed
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Basic understanding of database concepts, SQL, and relational databases. Familiarity with Oracle Database is a plus
• Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), and basic networking concepts
• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
• Oracle certifications are a plus but not required
