Position Title: Executive – Finance & Accounts (Costing)

Snapshot Of The Role

We are looking for Senior Executive – Finance and Accounts to assist in overseeing cost accounting activities, analysing production costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role involves working closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency and profitability in a food manufacturing environment.

You Are Driven To

• Costing & Financial Analysis
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes for the manufacturing unit.
• Monitor and analyse production costs, material costs, labour costs, and overhead expenses.
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budgeted costs) and recommend cost-control measures.
• Assist in setting product pricing strategies by evaluating cost structures and market conditions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and cost forecasts.
• Monitor cost trends and provide insights for financial planning and decision-making.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying areas of improvement in production efficiency.
• Inventory & Material Cost Control
• Maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
• Ensure proper allocation of costs to products and identify wastage or inefficiencies.
• Conduct regular stock reconciliations and participate in physical inventory counts.
• Compliance & Reporting
• Prepare cost reports and financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant cost data and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements related to costing and financial reporting.
• Collaboration & Process Improvement
• Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to enhance cost efficiency.
• Implement and improve cost control measures to maximize profitability.
• Assist in automation and digitization of cost accounting processes.
  

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Costing, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modelling, and reporting tools
