Our client is currently looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to oversee their operations. This role will be reporting to the Group CEO while managing the daily operational activities of the manufacturing facility, focusing on producing high-performance equipment. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical integration to ensure the products are reliable and efficient. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the transition of the business to a new product line and business model.
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage the flow of critical components and focus on increasing local production to meet required standards.
  • Drive the transformation of operations, moving from an older business model to a modern, forward-looking manufacturing hub that embraces new technologies and serves global markets.
  • Manage and support the local team, guiding them through the production of high-performance equipment for various industries.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for the team and facility.
  • Regularly communicate with design teams and leadership across different locations to ensure consistency and collaboration.
  • Implement and maintain processes to ensure high-quality standards for all products.
  • Ensure all products meet industry safety regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment to ensure it is properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for any issues during production.
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to provide guidance on electrical tasks.
  • Provide training to assembly line workers on proper handling and safety procedures for electrical systems.
Qualifications:
  • Possess strong electrical engineering background and relevant industry manufacturing / assembling high-performance equipment products involving electrical systems and mechanical integration.
  • Possess prior leadership experience and strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical processes.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Possess ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in multiple languages i.e. English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and etc. for effective and efficient communication with various stakeholders.
