General Manager, Sales and Operations

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our sales and operations team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the freight forwarding industry, a strong background in supply chain management, and exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a proactive leader with a passion for optimizing processes and ensuring that our daily operations align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing business strategies to achieve business goals and objectives of the company. Monitor and manage budgets, financial statements, and performance metrics to ensure business profitability.
• Operational Oversight: Manage all freight forwarding activities including air, sea, haulage and warehousing, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to achieve high performance and operational excellence.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to achieve operational goals.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all operations comply with local and international laws.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and operations management in logistics industry, with a proven track record of success
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, freight forwarding regulations, and customs procedures.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
