The Head Project Management functionally and/or on disciplinary manages a team of project managers and has responsibility for results (incl. P/L) and the objective of executing the projects to meet the required standard of quality (time, budget, functionality) and ensuring business success and customer satisfaction

How You’ll Make An Impact

The Head of Projects leads overall planning of projects and decides on allocation of resources.

• Coordinates overall planning of projects and decides on allocation of resources.
• Maintains constant communication to customers, outside contractors or internal stakeholders.
• Initiates and oversees continuous development of Project Management infrastructure.
• Responsible for effective risk management, mitigation measures for the Project Management organization assigned.
• Ensures that assigned Project Management organization meets all agreed performance goals.
• Acts as personal advisor to unit´s Senior Management, in all Project Management related issues.
• Heads dedicated team of Project Manager and/or Project Management Office staff and Operational management of assigned Project Managers (PM)
• Ensure implementation of training and competence build up for local PMs acc. to agreed training and development plans
• Directly responsible for cross-border technical and commercial project management / order implementation of selected key service contracts to ensure achievement of targeted business results and overall P&L responsible for project targets defined in a Project Target Agreement
• In cooperation with regional purchasing and field service ,development and implementation of measures to extend local sourcing
• Support alignment of regional and HQ strategies / targets to help increase M&U up sells to customers
• Reporting and controlling of contract performance (financials, TMS, delays, project risks, claims, quality management).
• Implement and support development of PM standards, methods, processes, tools
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an engineering / technology subject, MBA degree would be an asset
• Strong passion and proven success in achieving profitable project execution, Distinct customer orientation and strong customer interface skills
• Team player with a working experience of 15 years and more, which can influence and collaborate with multiple external and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrable evidence of successful projects or service business execution (LTPs) and Contracts management experience in rotating equipment (preferred)
• PM@Siemens certification is an added advantage
• Strong commercial acumen and managing good business volume
• Strong experience in Environment, Health and Safety
• Motivate, lead, coach and empower the team to deliver the best results
