Qualifications: An engineering qualification/experience is highly required. A knowledge of valves and experience in selling/using valves would be a benefit. An overall knowledge of steam, steam products and applications would also be a beneficial but not a pre-requisite.

Area Of Responsibility, Targets, And Duties
- Taking responsibility for telephone calls from customers.
- Responsibility for technical and commercial customer specific troubleshooting.
- To prepare quotations against customer enquiries from cost prices. This will involve liaison with parent manufacturing company and sub-supplier costs.
- To prepare project documentation against project specifications.
- To provide back up to our external sales force.
- To observe and qualify customer purchase orders.
- Resolve technical matters.
- Communication with the headquarters in Germany.
- Deputise in case of holiday or illness in the internal office.
- To be literate in working with computers and computer based data. (ERP & CRM systems)
- Comprehensive training will be provided.
- Telephone sales skills: you will often be the first contact with the customer, so careful and caring questioning techniques are required to determine their real needs.
- Engineering skills: you will need to advise customers of the options available to solve their problems, and the merits of each of the options.
- Computers skills: we operate a sophisticated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and CRM system which covers everything from quotation through to manufacturing, shipping, and invoicing which you will need to learn how to operate. Also experience with Microsoft Office and other general IT skills will be a requirement. AutoCAD experience would be a benefit but not essential.
