Position Summary
The IT Global Applications Manager SAP S/4 HANA integrations role is responsible for leading and executing the development, maintenance, governance, support and evolution of the SAP S/4 HANA end-2-end integration with all applicable portfolio applications. You will drive and own the strategy, architecture, vendor relationships, and delivery/development across the application lifecycle and Flexsys locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The primary scope of this role are integrations to 3rd party applications that are used across all business and functional disciplines that leverage middleware tools such as OpenText, SAP Cloud Integration Suite (CPI) and messaging standards like EDI (UN/Edifact, ASC X12), IDOCs, cXML, OData, SOAP, Rest API, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Governance: Leads the development of SAP S/4 HANA Integration/Middleware strategy to enable Company objectives with strong alignment to the business plan of each relevant function, including but not limited to “Proactive Monitoring”, “Smart Alerting”, “Process Automation”.
  • Partnership and Transparency: Partner with each function to understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding SAP S/4 HANA integrations related strategies that are required to support them. Establishes communications style and processes to create transparency regarding IT performance, implementation performance, and investment opportunities.
  • Reliable Operations: Establishes Operations Support roles, processes, and management oversight to ensure effective operational support, secure and reliable delivery with focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization.
  • Project Execution and Delivery: Establishes roles, processes, management oversight and develops integrations artifacts to ensure effective and timely execution of SAP S/4 HANA integrations related investments and successful attainment of intended benefits. Leverages Change Management principles to make sure all impacted processes/business functions are well prepared for new or enhanced processes/functions/applications. Develops a CPI based solution to simplify and replace existing middleware to reduce our 3rd party dependencies and integration landscape complexity.
  • Management, Technical and Security Controls: Leads and executes the development of effective controls and implements management review processes to ensure compliance in cost, project, operations and security dimensions.
  • Service Delivery: Leads and executes the design, build, delivery, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4 HANA integrations and support services for both customer-facing and internal functions.
  • Technology Leadership: Leads and executes the enhancement of SAP S/4 HANA integrations architecture. Leads / provides oversight of integration and interface development for highly scalable and cost-efficient operations.

Experience

  • Multi-year experience in designing and developing enterprise grade integrations in an SAP S/4 Hana based global manufacturing environments, preferably in process-based industries.
  • Track record of effectively working with middleware tools such as OpenText, SAP Cloud Integration Suite (CPI) and messaging standards like EDI (UN/Edifact, ASC X12), IDOCs, cXML, OData, SOAP, Rest API, etc.
  • Proven technical leadership experience of multiple global applications in an SAP environment inclusive of best-of-breed applications.
  • Proven project management experience in a national or multi-national corporate environment.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA integrations across several modules and business functions like Finance, Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, HR, and other SAP Add-ons.
  • Strong experience in SAP cloud architecture, basis management and lifecycle management practices.
  • Background in estimating/designing/developing IT applications systems
  • Development and management of vendor relationships
  • Demonstrated experience supporting various business functions and applications.
  • Proven project management expertise.
  • Excellent communications skills in a variety of business settings – in both business and technology-centric situations
  • Strong command of the English language to facilitate communications with both colleagues and global partners.

Education

  • Degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems or related field with additional technical training in programming, systems analysis and/or systems design.
  • MBA, Engineering, or IT-related graduate degree is a strong plus
