Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that supports overall business objectives and drives brand awareness and growth.
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high performance.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaigns for long-term success.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and tracking of ROI for all initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of digital marketing, content creation, social media, email campaigns, and events.
  • Collaborate with the events team to create impactful event launch strategies and marketing collateral.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct market research and stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing management, with a proven track record of successful campaign execution and brand development, preferably in the book retail industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, social media, etc.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A genuine passion for books and the book retail industry.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will be based at our HQ office in Section 33, Shah Alam
  • Working days are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. The candidate should be prepared for flexibility when required, including working extra hours and weekends or public holidays, to ensure the successful execution of time-sensitive initiatives
  • The candidate may be required to be on-site at our events and long hours
