About The Role

As a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, coordinating, and delivering complex mechanical and electrical systems for stage automation and performance center infrastructure. This role requires an in-depth understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles to integrate these disciplines effectively across all project phases, from concept design to final commissioning.

What You'll Be Doing

• Technical Design & Engineering: Develop detailed designs and engineering plans for stage automation, precision fly systems, stage lifts, and integrated lighting control systems, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and design teams to plan, schedule, and execute mechanical and electrical components in alignment with overall project milestones and budgets.
• System Integration & Programming: Configure and program control systems for automation and lighting, ensuring seamless integration across mechanical and electrical components to deliver optimal performance.
• Supply & Installation Management: Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of mechanical and electrical equipment and oversee the installation process to ensure compliance with engineering designs and safety standards.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing of installed systems, troubleshoot any issues, and perform commissioning activities to confirm that systems operate reliably and meet client requirements.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that all project elements meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide progress updates, and address any technical concerns or inquiries.
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering, particularly in stage automation, stage lifts, production lighting, or similar specialized environments.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and electrical design tools; familiarity with programming control systems is advantageous.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple aspects of complex projects.
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems in live-performance settings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to client and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to performance venue installations.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations and best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
